Nestled in an inconspicuous corner of the East Village, Ssäm Bar relies on local farms with sustainable practices to craft their popular lunch and dinner options, from small dishes, like their bbq rib sandwich with red onion slaw, to larger entrees and raw bar options. Next door, Momofuku (Vietnamese for “Lucky Peach”) Milk Bar / Bakery shines as a tasty way to end a meal or a night! Serving up imaginative desserts, like “Compost” cookies and “Candy Bar Pie,” alongside more savory items, like their daily bread selection or famous pork buns, Momofuku has all ends of the craving spectrum covered. Indulge your inner child with “Cereal Milk” flavored milk and ice cream, or opt for a more sophisticated Dulce de Leche cake. Be advised, the Milk Bar is aptly named for its lack of seating (though there are tables for standing,) and in both Ssäm Bar and Momofuku the menu changes daily depending upon season and fresh produce selection, resulting in a multiplicity of dishes to try - all the more reason to come again and again!

Bonus: Both places stay open until 2 am and Ssäm Bar recently introduced a seductive late night cocktail and light bar food menu! Stop by for late night munchies and a nightcap!
