The location of the new Limelight Marketplace has gone from a church, to a disco, and now, an indoor shopping center that some might call a religious experience. Located at the corner of 6th Avenue and West 20th Street, Limelight is the newest destination for everything from gourmet food and sweets, to jewelry, sneakers and home goods. With 3 floors of stores with finds from across the globe, plus outdoor space, a hair salon, and 2 restaurants, Limelight has everything you need to make a day out of shopping!
The first floor is home to gastronome, from gourmet and specialty markets, to sit-down eateries, plus an indoor “street of shops” with retailers like Victoria’s Secret, Hunter Boots, and Henri Bendel. Moving up, the second floor houses an apothecary, sneaker gallery and household items, while the third floor presents up-to-the-moment music and fashion.
Shop surrounded by nineteenth-century stained glass windows, which were discovered under 30 inches of drywall during construction in April, getting a hiatus from the boring white of traditional shopping centers. Limelight has a colorful past, now stop by to experience the present: a fusion of shopping, stained glass saints, and culinary samples from around the world.
